Our Whitby veterinarians welcome new patients to our full service animal hospital in Whitby, Ontario!

We are always happy to welcome new clients and patients to our veterinary clinic in Whitby!  When booking your appointment at the Thickson Road Pet Hospital, it is always helpful to notify us of any previous clinics that your pet may have been too, this is to ensure we can access previous records ahead of time.  This allows us to stay as up to date as possible on your pet’s medical care.   If you have a new puppy or kitten, please bring along any vaccine history the breeder or previous owners may have given you.  This will ensure your puppy or kitten is vaccinated at the right time (booster vaccines are separated by 3-4 weeks).

At the Thickson Road Pet Hospital, we stride to work towards the best customer service for you and your pet.   We know that owning a pet can be stressful, both financially and mentally, therefore we are always happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have, big or small.

What to expect at your first visit….

When you arrive to our vet clinic in Whitby, you will be greeted by our client services staff, they will ask you to fill out a new client registration form.   Once your file is created, they will weigh your pet & escort you to the exam room for your pet’s appointment.    Our appointment times typically last about 30 minutes with the veterinarian.  The veterinarian will perform a head to toe exam, discuss any preventative healthcare, nutrition and behavior.   During this time, feel free to discuss any health concerns or questions you may have.  For puppies & kittens, we will provide you with a booklet that goes over all the typical puppy & kitten protocols and frequently asked questions that you can take home.   If you ever have questions between your appointments, please don’t hesitate to call us at Thickson Pet Animal Hospital. Our client services staff and 3 registered veterinary technicians on staff are all very qualified to help you with your concerns.
